Volunteer

Due to an incredible amount of publicity last summer, we have received hundreds of applications for a very small amount of camp counsellor positions.

We have a high rate of returning counsellors, and therefore only have at most one or two places for newcomers this year. We are sorry that we can’t as yet offer more opportunities for counsellors but we hope you will appreciate that we are a very small organisation and only now are we beginning to grow.

However, there are many other ways in which you could help us out.

  • Donate - We have started with very little investment, so any amount you could donate would be very much appreciated. You can donate via Paypal (see link on the right) or if you prefer by cheque, made payable to CAMP QUEST UK
  • Fundraise - Why not try your hand at raising money?
  • Donate Materials - We are always in need of stamps and envelopes, but also would like to get hold of interesting camp equipment and back up supplies (Sleeping bags, blankets, jumpers, footballs, etc). If you see something interesting and related to camp come up on eBay or on your local Freecycle, let us know!
  • Spread the word - If you would like some promotional literature to hand out at an event, or distribute in your local school, please get in touch.
  • The jobs no one else wants to do - as an organisation run entirely by volunteers, there are always administrative tasks to be done.
  • Start your own Camp Quest - if you would like to see a Camp Quest start up in your area, you can always start your own. If you are interested in helping us expand, you could look for suitable camp sites in your area, or possibly talk to local groups about anyone else who might want to help run a camp.
